Two new training dates have been added to the Waterloo Hydrogeologic groundwater software training schedule.   Waterloo Hydrogeologic and Hungarian software and equipment distributor Jakab es Tarsai Kft. will be hosting VMOD2 – Applied Groundwater Flow and Solute Transport in Gödöllő, Hungary on October 8 – 11. Waterloo Hydrogeologic will also be hosting VMOD1 – An Introduction to Groundwater Modeling on September 30 – October 3 in Santiago, Chile.

VMOD2 – Applied Groundwater Flow and Solute Transport

Where: Szent István University – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Museum of the Development History of Agricultural Tools and Machinery, Address: 2100 Gödöllő, Szentgyörgyi Albert u. 4., Hungary

When: October 8-11, 2013

Instructor: Andras Jakab has been in the environmental remediation business since 1992, when he started his professional activity within Hungary’s largest environmental remediation project in Jászberény – Electrolux remediation project. He has since participated as a groundwater modeler and risk assessor in several projects in Hungary and also in Romania, working for well known clients representing industries such as pharmaceutical (EGIS, etc.), automotive (Daewoo, etc.), engine manufacturing (CG Electric, etc.), white products (Electrolux, Dometic, etc.), or municipalities and agricultural clients. These projects included modeling tasks such as wellhead protection area delineations for public and private supply wellfields, groundwater flow and contaminant transport models for site assessment and remediation planning, and several human health and ecological risk assessments. He started his own environmental consultancy in 1997, and has since worked as the managing director. He has attended several international modeling training courses, and has also tought as an instructor at a large number of courses for Waterloo Hydrogeologic.
