Africa Groundwater Training Course
On September 10-13, 2013, Waterloo Hydrogeologic hosted a series of groundwater training courses at the Tlotlo Hotel and Conference Center in Gaborone, Botswana.  The event was co-hosted and organized by Botswana software distributor, Aridus Hydro Geotechnik, and brought together over 20 participants with backgrounds in hydrogeology, geology, and information technology, representing various regional organizations including the Department of Water Affairs, Debswana Diamond Company and Water Surveys Botswana.

The training series – the first of its kind in Gabrone, Botswana – covered an array of topics related to environmental data management, water quality analysis and aquifer performance test analysis.  For each course, participants utilized Waterloo Hydrogeologic groundwater and environmental software products to gain hands-on experience with real world examples.  Software used during the courses included Hydro GeoAnalyst environmental data management, analysis and visualization software, AquaChem water quality analysis software and AquiferTest Pro pumping and slug test analysis software.
