Visual MODFLOW Classic has been a staple in our suite of products for over 22 years. We understand it works well and includes a mature tool set for developing and working with groundwater models. We know Classic has a faithful following and we appreciate your loyalty to this product.
From a development perspective; as operating systems modernize and development platforms evolve, Classic has become difficult to support and challenging to maintain. Classic is not going away, but in response to these challenges we are ending ongoing development work on Classic.
Our main goal at Waterloo Hydrogeologic is to make sure you have the tools you need to conceptualize, analyze, and model hydrogeologic systems. As part of that goal we’ve added well-loved Classic functionality into Visual MODFLOW Flex and we intend to continue that work. We strive for continual improvement and we believe that Visual MODFLOW Flex is the way forward.
While we understand change is hard, please know our main goal is to make sure our loyal clients have access to the most robust and intuitive software available, and our responsibility to you is unwavering.
Thank you very much for your commitment and loyalty to our product. We appreciate the work you do and your opinion is important to us.
