Exporting Cross Sections

 

To export a cross section from the Cross Section Viewer, click in the export button in the Cross Section Viewer toolbar. This will open the Export Cross Section window:

 

The export cross section window contains the following controls:

Cross Sections: settings to define which cross section(s) will be exported and how they will be rendered

oSpecify exaggeration: if checked, the specified constant will be used to define a consistent vertical exaggeration for the exported cross section(s). If unchecked, the cross section(s) will be exported using the vertical exaggeration setting defined in the cross section.
 

oCurrent cross section: only the current cross section will be exported

oSelected cross sections: the cross section(s) selected in the list will be exported.

 

Export Type: provides two options:

oImages: the cross section(s) specified above will be exported in a selected image format (see below)

oPresentation: the cross section(s) specified above will be exported to a PowerPoint Template (see below)

 

Export Button: exports:

oone image per cross section based on the Image settings

oone slide per cross section in a single PowerPoint presentation based on the Presentation settings

 

Image Settings

The following settings are available if the export type is images:

 

Output Path: clicking the browse button allows you to select a file path (if one cross section is selected) or a folder (if multiple cross sections are selected) where the resulting image(s) will be exported

File Type: the image format (PNG, BMP, JPEG, EMF)

Resolution: the settings for the image size. The image(s) will be stretched to fill the resolution based on the exaggeration setting for the cross section

 

Presentation Settings

The following settings are available if the export type is images:

 

Report Path: clicking the browse button allows you to define the output presentation filename for the exported cross section(s)

Select a Template: a dropdown that includes the templates in the Project Tree (under in the Office reports > PPT Cross Sections folder). Select Browse to find alternative templates
