Hydro GeoAnalyst – Environmental Data Management, Analysis and Visualization Software
On April 8, 2026, we released Hydro GeoAnalyst 14.0, the latest version of our application specifically designed for anyone working on hydrogeologic, geochemical, or environmental projects requiring the management, analysis, and reporting of environmental data.
This release introduces new functionality and incorporates client feedback on improvements to make both the standard edition of HGA and the enhanced HGA+ edition even better.
HGA Improvements
Version 14 of HGA includes the following improvements:
Cloud databases
New HGA projects can now store their project database in the cloud
- Collaborate anywhere: Cloud databases can be accessed by any of your team members with an internet connection and HGA installed
- Seamless setup: Simply specify host details and provide credentials – your HGA workflows are otherwise exactly the same
- Highly compatible: Projects can use managed database services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, or on your own web servers
Bulk data import
Multiple data sources can now be imported at once using the same mapping
- General bulk data import: Simultaneously import many spreadsheets of single-table data, such as lithology data or sample data
- EDD bulk import
- Robust processing: Bulk import smartly rejects incompatible and incorrectly formatted data, speeding up data management workflows and simplifying QA/QC

Plotting
Plots have receive numerous upgrades:
- Linear regression lines: Linear regression lines may now be automatically calculated and plotted on Scatter and Time Series plots in the Lines tab
- Faster symbology changes: The applied symbol group can now be changed directly from the plot settings window in the new Symbols tab
- Labeled lines: Lines can be given arbitrary labels or take label data from calculated linear regression lines
- Configurable legend locations: The location of the legend can now be customized
Usability and Other Enhancements
HGA and HGA+ include the following additional enhancements:
- Data associated with stations can now be compared and moved/copied between stations using the new Compare tool
- Lists in the List Editor module can now be filtered (like other tables can)
- Improved interface for assigning values to DateTime data in tables
- HGA modules now use a more efficient architecture for storing data, reducing the likelihood of SQL object limit errors
HGA+ Improvements
Version 14 of the Hydro GeoAnalyst Plus Edition includes the improvements described above, plus the following:
Trend Analysis module
The new Trend Analysis module has been added, allowing you to perform statistical analyses on time series data:
- Tests and analyses supported:
- Linear regression
- Sen’s slope estimator
- Spearman rank correlation
- Mann-Kendall test
- Seasonal Mann-Kendall test
- Trend analyses may be exported as spreadsheets or automatically plotted in time series graphs

Usability and Other Enhancements
HGA+ includes the following additional enhancements:
- Modeled and Calculated parameter results may now be exported from the Sample Report module
- Sample analysis result metadata (such as precision, result comments, etc.) may now be exported from the Sample Report module
- Water quality standards may now be exported
- The Sample Analysis Viewer module is now sortable
- Newly created parameters can now be updated from the Parameter Calculator by default
- Durov/Piper diagram titles no longer list all parameters by default
- Box-and-Whisker plots can now be labeled with the number of samples and non-detects in each data series
